Environmental monitoring, waste testing and circular economy
Energopomiar offers complex environmental monitoring in the vicinity of industrial plants and landfills in the pre-, operation and post-operation phase:
- tests and measurements of the environmental water quality
- continuous or periodic measurements of dust concentration in the air, including dust deposition and particulate matter concentration
- tests of the properties of waste to be disposed of in landfills (waste stream monitoring based on the basic characteristics and cyclic performance of conformity tests)
- landfill gas testing including the determination of the composition and emission of methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen and carbon oxide
- tests of the soil environment pollution.
Waste properties testing, including:
- representative sampling of waste
- physical property testing (grain size, characteristic density, specific surface area, water permeability)
- analysis of the morphological composition of waste
- natural radioactivity measurements
- water extract preparation
interpretation of test results based on - the standards and applicable legal regulations.
The assessment of waste properties in view of its possible economic management and impact on the environment, including:
- conformity assessment of waste properties with the requirements of the standards
- preparation of applications for technical approvals
- opinion on the classification of waste according to the Waste Catalogue
- opinion on a possible change of the waste status from hazardous into non-hazardous
- preparation of the documentation necessary to reclassify waste as a by-product (declaration of the classification of waste as a by-product)
- assessment of the environmental impact of economic waste utilization.
Circular economy (CE) services
- Environmental audits of production cycles and organizations
- Determination of the environmental footprint (including carbon and water footprints) of products and organizations according to the current or announced standards
- Determination of the potential to reduce environmental footprints (including carbon and water footprints)
- Environmental audits of areas with the identified reduction potential and the determination of environmental impacts (following the reduction) on the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) or the Organization
- Environmental Footprint (OEF)
- Formal legal support and assistance in analytical tests for official decisions on the classification of waste and by-products
- Designing and implementation of the dedicated IT systems and applications for online calculations of environmental footprints
Accredited Laboratory
We perform field and laboratory testing in accordance with the applicable regulations and methods set out in the regulations and Polish and branch standards. The services are accredited according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA Accreditation Certificate No. AB 550).
Test and measurement equipment
We have off-road vehicles equipped with winches, current generating sets, submersible pumps, pneumatic pump sets, peristaltic pumps, compressors and specialized equipment, e.g. portable gas analyzers, dust aspirators, water filtration sets, field analysis kits (pH meters, conductivity meters, oxygen meters, ion meters, photometers), high-accuracy surveying instruments, hydrometric mills, vent whistles, depth gauges, equipment for laboratory testing of material, soil and waste properties.
